 Nicole Lyons

 Nicole Lyons is a Physiotherapist who has specialised in the rehabilitation of the hand 

Nicole has been specialised in Hand Rehabilitation since 2006. She has a tremendous amount of experience in this field and treats in excess of 80 patients per week.

Nicole maintains her skills and knowledge with comprehensive Continual Professional Development. This includes regular successful completion of the British Association of Hand Therapy (BAHT) approved courses and she is currently working through the final stage to become an accredited hand therapist recognised by BAHT.  

In 2011 Nicole also successfully completed a Masters programme in Advanced Musculoskeletal Practice. She has been an invited speaker on a number ofoccasions to present her areas of expertise to other physiotherapists and doctors. 

She has closely worked with Mr Miranda since 2006 as lead Physiotherapist in Hand Rehabilitation at James Cook University Hospital.  Nicole works in Private Practice with Mr Miranda. She has an excellent understanding of the conditions and surgery performed by Mr Miranda and his requirements for rehabilitation, ensuring excellence in patient management.

Suzanne Curtis

Suzanne Curtis is an Occupational Therapist who has specialised in the rehabilitation of the hand.

She specialised in this field in 2005. Her weekly workload of patients is in excess of 60 patients. She is enthusiastic about this field and continuously updates her skills and knowledge by attending courses at other centres of excellence in hand surgery. 

Suzanne is currently working towards Accredited Hand Therapist status. She is a member of the British Association of Hand Therapists (BAHT).  Suzanne also teaches splinting and hand therapy at Teesside University.

Suzanne works with Mr Miranda in the Private Health sector. Due to her long working association with Mr Miranda, she has an excellent insight of the splinting, scar management and rehabilitation requirements following treatment and surgery by Mr Miranda.

She has developed a number of innovative splinting protocols following hand injuries and elective surgical treatment. 

Alysha Paige 

Alysha Paige completed a Bachelor of Applied Science from Queensland University of Technology and qualified as an Occupational Therapist with a Masters of Occupational Therapy Studies from The University of Queensland in Australia in 2006.  Formally from Australia, she relocated to the United Kingdom in 2007 and in 2009 she specialised in the area of hand rehabilitation and scar management.  Alysha Paige has worked closely with Mr Miranda for over 10 years in the NHS and private health sector. 

Alysha Paige is registered with Health and Care Professions Council and is a member of British Association of Hand Therapy (BAHT) and Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT). She is committed to further developing her clinical skills and practical experience and has attending various upper limb specific courses including BAHT accredited courses and is working towards becoming an accredited hand therapist.  

Alysha Paige has a high level of specialist knowledge and practical experience in the therapeutic treatment and management of traumatic hand injures, elective upper limb surgery, acquired and congenital hand conditions, specialist upper limb splinting (functional and neurological), management of problematic scarring and kinesio taping techniques. 

Alysha Paige is passionate about the hand therapy profession and has an excellent working relationship with Mr Miranda and his team to ensure the optimal outcome for patients.
